Weapon layouts/Map strategies/Perk advantages.
Let's start a thread on what we find to be very useful. I'll start;
I will colour code, it is recommended you do this too, however is not required.
Violet = Weapon layout (Explaining why you use what you do)
Green = Map based paragraphs
Cyan = Important parts you mainly like to use in maps.
My main layout
Perk: Support specialist.
Weapons: Shotgun (Normal shotgun), 9mm and lever action rifle.
I would use my 9mm pistol to kill most things, Shotgun for when a group or something strong comes along, and L.A.R to get the ones who are a distance away.
My shotgun is far better at taking groups and stronger specimens due to my perk, which increases all Shotgun damage, penetration, and even increases my welding speed, (Good for blocking doors, waiting until they break down and shooting the group with my shotgun)
I prefer the map Aperture, mainly for the fact I love the game Portal, but I like the twists and turns in the map, You have a big room in the middle, good for the L.A.R, a few tight corridors, for the Shotgun, and even some medium based rooms for my 9mm.
Not to mention the GLaDOS' door, which takes a while to unlock, but when you do, (Not mentioning what is inside for those who haven't opened yet) you can go inside and you can weld the door back up, making the specimens have a longer door breaking period.
Finally, the tubes;
Some doors can only be opened with the Co-operation of a team mate, he must stand on a button, and the other, walk through, and stand on a button in this room.
Many of these rooms contain weapons, amour, and even ammo. But the main thing I am looking for, are the 100% welded shutters on the floor, which when un-welded (Or grenaded if your a lazy person)
You can drop down a tube, and appear in a safe room (at the risk of loosing from health from drop damage) this room, only has 1 entrance, Via.The tube you went trough, so you can aim the enterance, you can also exit through a window (also loosing health from drop damage)
In all, Aperture is a great map, with many places where the survivors may hold out.

the strategy is were u place the bombs and how u use the m79
